My project, Bang Camaro, and a lil Radiohead

Heeyy wusup everybudy. I havent been posting lately cuz school wants to screw me over and mess with my financial aid lol Had go in there, kick ass, and take about 3 names. Word. Lol but nah it was that and some homework I had to do. One of which I am particularly proud of. My sound studio project. It really isn't much (I had about 12 sounds to work with and 5 of them didnt work...) so dont judge me!!! I'm not going to tell you what I interpreted it as so its a little more fun for you guys. Well here it is:

On another note I read this game informer mag that I completely forgot I had subscribed to. It came with my edge card renewal for Gamestop, who knew. Well I saw this band called Bang Camaro being featured in it. They must be pretty hyped at this point; after witnessing their sales skyrocket from 2000 to 37,825 just from being featured in the game Guitar Hero 3 with their legendarily hard "Through the Fire and Flames" and now this.

Lemme give you a lil background. Bang Camaro consists of about 17 or so memebers (wow) and 13 of which are vocalists. They have a song called Pleasure Pleasure which has what they'd like to call a "man choir". Lol that is aptly named seeing as there are more than 6 guys singing the chorus. It's pretty insane.

These guys are SERIOUSLY 80s like really really 80s. So if you're into rocking out with your jocks out then buy their album and crank it up to 11. Mind you I havent bought the album but hey I find music, I dont have to support them financially, youtube ftw. Lol sorry guys.

One more small topic. Radiohead's album In//Rainbows is amazing. Even if the whole emo sounding, alternative type isn't for you....just listen to the lyrics of their songs. It tells a story from beginning to end. It really is a work of art. Now I admit I'm not the most informed Radiohead fan meaning that I do not have all of their albums but I'm working on it so don't set me on fire. I promised I'd talk about em so yeah.

Ok I'm done guys, next episode I'll be talking about....eh i duno....OH I got it. If my friend lets me I'll post some of his beats up on here, ya know just to givem a lil free advertising. I think he's decent, not the best but I really enjoy his stuff so that == you will too. Good night and luck.

Damn, sounds looks good...

So I'm walking with a friend of mine and we take a brief stint to admire some women who walk by us (they weren't that pretty and I was saying sarcastically "Oh yeahh lets holler at those chicks oh cheya lol). Well anyways my friend randomly shares with me that he enjoyed making sweet love to the album Seeing Sounds by N.E.R.D (not actually making love to the CD...get your minds in the correct gutter). *sigh* He said this the day after I got ahold of the album and told him "YOO THIS ISH IS HOT', and it kinda pisses me off because he may have ruined the entire album listening experience forever. Thank you very much sir.

Well uhh on the topic of said album, it is indeed hot. I mean I am a music fan in general but I wasn't thinking I'd be this uhhh...enthralled in its greatness. Few tracks I wanna mention, Anti Matter, Spaz, Lazer Gun, and Yeah You. These four right here make this album for me. You should give it a listen, your gunna have to rely on youtube till I can find out how to upload some samples online or sumthing. Have fun!

So okay I think I got another artiste fo ya guys. It seems myspace just seems to harbor the kick ass artists so here ya go.

Blu & Exile(not pictured here as...well...hes not the rapper so he doesn't matter). I keed I keed Exile is actually the producer while Blu raps. This duo hails from the west coast, Fresno, Cali to be exact. Their debut album, which was damn near critically acclaimed for the west coast underground community, is called Below The Heavens released online summer 07' then retail about a month later. I cant really review an album in a very eloquent manner (my idea of eloquent is "DAMMMN THIS IS HOT....BUY IT NOWWW") so I'll give you an excerpt of allhiphop.com's review:

"Throughout the album, Blu displays a magnetic power with the mic, especially in songs such as “In Remembrance”. Exile’s production sets a reflective mood, and Blu’s endearing bars have a way of making anyone reflect on their own past. “Dancing in the Rain” with its somber production meshes with Blu’s reflective lyrics and gives you a taste of what his journey was; painting a wonderful visual picture that will have you sitting next to him at the bus stop."
So uh needless to say its a really good album, its at least worth keeping your myspace on his page and when you close firefox, save the session so when you open it again there it is.

Next post I'll do something on radiohead and maybe jazzanova, or this other group called koop that I saw under related crap on youtube but whatever....depends on how I'm feelin. Peace guys. :D

The Pilot

Hey guys whats up? This is my first post to my soon to become the greatest music blog ever...booyah. Like it says in the description right below the title, this is just a project I wanted to work on for awhile and ya know, see where it goes. I mean if I'm gonna be sitting at this computer screen all the time I might as well be doing something uhh semi-productive right? ;]

Some random info for ya, my favorite band at the moment is Radiohead but my tastes extend way further than that. I love acid jazz (Jazzanova and Spearhead ftw), and just the alternative genre in general. Hip Hop too which is coming back to me after a long hiatus due single-handedly to Soulja Boy, whom I consider the worst uhh "artist" (for lack of a better word) to be introduced to this world.

*sigh* I hate the guy but you have to give him credit where its due. If his music can get awkward teenagers at dances off of the wall and out there doing some borderline retarded dance, well, by all means. I just hope he knows that when Nas said hip hop is dead that he was looking into the future and was talking about Soulja Boy. As long as he knows...

A combo of Kanye and T-Pain brought me back to it, then Ludacris came out with his new stuff which, although I haven't heard it in its entirety, is not that bad. My friend Dom told me about the new Jadakiss CD too so I'll be on the lookout for that.

Heh, alota Hip-Hop for the first post so let me leave you guys with somethin a lil different. This band I found on myspace in my endless search for good music named Channel Two.

Somewhere between a gorgeous and sexy, late summer sunset and a hot, sweaty soul music dance floor, lays the very complex debut release from Channel Two. -channeltwomusic.com
Lol now you know that publicist is gettin paid GOOD money. The rest of the description is on their myspace at myspace.com/channeltwo or their website channeltwomusic.com. They have this whole jazz/hip hop/soul vibe goin on. From the looks of it, it seems that they mostly produce but they collaborate with some good people. Heh people you never knew you loved.

I'd love some feedback guys so tell me whats on your mind. Let me know about that artist no ones ever heard about. Its been real, PEACEEEeeee.
